In this presentation, we will review the NewTek NDI integration with PTZOptics Producer Kits built around the Intel NUC Skull Canyon PC. The NewTek ™ NDI (Network Device Interface) is an IP industry standard for sending and receiving ultra low latency, high definition video and audio sources for live broadcasts. The NewTek NDI is a royalty free standard anyone can implement to connect video equipment across a network. Your production switcher, capture system, media server—any NDI-enabled device on the network—can see and access content from all other devices, allowing more sources than ever before to be used for live production. The protocol has been pioneered by Dr. Andrew Cross, NewTek’s president and CTO
PTZOptics does have plans to integrate with the NewTek NDI directly into a camera model in the future. Currently NDI functionality with PTZOptics uses the NewTek Connect Pro Application which is included with the PTZ Producer Kits.

Opportunities
Did you know?
Over 82 different vendors
demonstrated NDI compatible
products at the 2017 NAB Show.
NDI-enabled devices and applications are already in the hands of
millions of customers and continue to generate tremendous industry
momentum since its introduction at IBC last year. “
NDI works with applications from almost every major vendor and
virtually every I/O card on the market. There is no doubt that this move
to IP-based production is fundamentally transforming our industry.” —
Dr. Andrew Cross, NewTek’s president and CTO

8. Broadcast Use Case
Overview:
The NewTek NDI allows for ultra low latency connections between multiple systems. Therefore multiple video
production systems can now share resources over a local area network. A PTZ Producer system can share
video and audio sources with a NewTek TriCaster allowing for flexible deployments for any budget. In the
below example we are showing a NewTek TriCaster with various HD-SDI PTZOptics cameras connected.
This Tricaster is then connected via NDI to the PTZ Producer system over the Local Area Network.

9. Education Use Case
Overview:
In the educational space the NewTek NDI enables organizations to affordably connect multiple classrooms to
a larger school broadcast or announcement show. Each classroom / teacher may use the PTZ Producer kit
for video conferencing, learning management and lecture capture on a daily basis. With the NewTek Connect
Pro App, the main broadcast studio can now pull in video and audio sources from various classrooms on
campus during school announcements.

10. House of Worship
Overview:
In the example below we are demonstrating how one central house of worship can incorporate video feeds
from various houses of worship areas on the same network. Because the NewTek NDI provides bi-directional
video and audio, each church can now share video/audio resources. This is ideal for sharing views from
multiple churches, presentations, audiences and more. Satellite churches can even localize content with
branding and control for local recordings. NDI can also be used to power additional monitors with the main
broadcast video (PTZ Producer Kit can be used to send or receive video).

11. Corporate Sales & Marketing
Overview:
High quality video content has never been more important for marketing today. Using live production tools
can help marketers stay up to speed with quick and easy video creation live. By creating content live video
marketers are able to cut down on time spent in post production and focus on what really matters. A video
that receives 7,500 views/day = 46.6 hyper efficient sales professionals spreading your message everyday
