Why Biomass?

A) EU 20-20-20 plan (January 2008):
 • 20% renewable energy source: wind, solar, hydro and …
   biomass
 • plus 20% reduction of consumption
 • for 20% CO2 emissions reduction

       (e.g. 1Mwth per year= 1.000T of biomass)

Where is the Biomass?
 1) Western-EU27
 * small-scale biomass: 500 -1000T  mobile lines for local
 treatment
 * alternative sources: waste, manure, sludge, algae  multi-
 biomass mobile concept!


 2) Central Europe (Ukraine, Hungary)
 * Large quantities of traditional and cheaper biomass 
 competitive with fossil fuels

  • 4. Why Biomass? A) EU 20-20-20 plan (January 2008): • 20% renewable energy source: wind, solar, hydro and … biomass • plus 20% reduction of consumption • for 20% CO2 emissions reduction B) Fuel independency C) commitments withing Kyoto framework, COP15 We source, process and supply biomass
  • 5. What is needed? Biomass 2020: 170 Mio tons oil equivalent or 400 Mio tons Biomass 400 Mio T biomass! = 40 Mio Ha Pellets in 2015: 20 Mios tons (2Bios€)

  • 8. Uses of our CO2-neutral biomass Customers in EU 27 including France, Germany, Spain Supply from: wood and agro residues, the waste industry (sludges, manure, algae,….) For cogeneration and district heating today • Delays and failures due to shortage of biomass (e.g. 1Mwth per year= 1.000T of biomass) • Efficiency through proximity to the biomass

Where is the Biomass? 1) Western-EU27 * small-scale biomass: 500 -1000T  mobile lines for local treatment * alternative sources: waste, manure, sludge, algae  multi- biomass mobile concept! 2) Central Europe (Ukraine, Hungary) * Large quantities of traditional and cheaper biomass  competitive with fossil fuels When: NOW! As stricter and stricter regulations creates larger and larger demand

Seed capital • Today FFF for the seed capital (pilot plant and R&D) • Pilot plant: production & sales, skills • Now, we are raising equity for a scalable expansion 2010-2015 Operational staff • Hands-on management: 6 cre-active people with technical and local back ground, 14 workers • Development with a manufacturer of agro equipment (Komsomolets – 350 workers – R&D team, prototyping dpt.,…)
