3. INTRODUCTION
Robot is a mechanical system of sensors,
power supply and control systems, which
are in use to control robots.
Due to this curiosity in humans raised for
self-thinking robots or robot who think like
humans, a new robotic field build and
robots in this field have given a name
“Neurotic Robots”.
4. Component of Robot
• Structure
• Power source
• Actuation
• Sensing
• Manipulation
• Locomotion
5. Types of Robot
• Mobile Robots
• Rolling Robots
• Walking Robots
• Stationary Robots
• Autonomous Robots
• Remote-control Robots
6. Autonomous Robot
Autonomous robots are self-supporting or
in other words self-contained. In a way they
rely on their own ‘brains’.
Neurotic Robot is subdivision of this
Autonomous Robot.
7. 2014 IEEE International Conference on
Robotics &
Automation (ICRA)
Jeff Krichmar, professor of cognitive science at the University of
California, Irvine is experimenting with building neurotic
robots that exhibit signs of obsessive-compulsive disorder, just
like humans, or are afraid of open spaces.
We're trying to make the robot brain more like human brain.
The brain has incredibly flexibility and adaptability. If you look
at any artificial system, it's far more brittle than biology,"
Krichmar said.
9. Advantages
• Anyone can teach them
• Works 24/7
• More accurate than humans
• AIBO – Robot Pup
• Can Work Without Doubts
10. Disadvantages
• Need very intelligent crew to make them first
• Very Expensive
• Can ruins people life
• Very Hard to Program
• Can become a Disaster for Human kind
