MELT FLOW INDEX TESTER- DIGITAL
Pacorr Melt Flow Index tester is used for evaluating the flow properties of molten plastics or resins. The Melt flow Index
of thermoplastic materials is defined as the rate of flow (in grams per ten minutes) of extrudates of molten resins through a
jet of a particular length and diameter. The test is carried out under prescribed condition of temperature, load and piston
position in a cylindrical cavity inside a heated metallic tube barrel. The instrument accurately provides all standard terms of
temperature and pressure strictly as per standards ASTM D 1238-1992, ISO 1133, IS 2267-1972, IS 2530-1963, IS 10810-
1984.
Pacorr Melt Flow Index tester is fitted with a Microprocessor based PID Temperature controller, with a temperature range
from ambient to 400°C. It has a resolution of 0.1°C and an accuracy of ± 0.1°C. The instrument incorporates a digital pre-
settable timer with a range of up to 59 minutes; 59 seconds and buzzer output. The provision of automatic sample cutting
ensures the accuracy and smooth operation.

LABORATORY HOT AIR OVEN
Pacorr Laboratory Hot Air Oven is used to determine various physical characteristics of different materials and products
at elevated temperatures may be carried out by heating the test specimen to the appropriate temperature inside a constant
temperature air oven and determining the required characteristics with the specimens kept under the same temperature. For
this purpose the equipment needed for conducting the determination can either be kept inside the oven along with the test
specimens, or, if this is not feasible because of certain constrains, by taking the heated specimens out from the oven and
conducting the test in still air within the shortest possible span of time.
Laboratory Hot Air Oven with digital temperature controller has a test chamber of triple walled construction. The inner
walls are made of stainless steel sheet and the outer walls of CRCA sheet duly epoxy powder coated. The chamber is fitted
with two/three adjustable perforated shelves for keeping the test specimen or the test equipment on.
The oven is heated electrically with the help of heaters placed on both sides of the chamber. An air-circulating fan is provided

  • 2. MELT FLOW INDEX TESTER- DIGITAL Pacorr Melt Flow Index tester is used for evaluating the flow properties of molten plastics or resins. The Melt flow Index of thermoplastic materials is defined as the rate of flow (in grams per ten minutes) of extrudates of molten resins through a jet of a particular length and diameter. The test is carried out under prescribed condition of temperature, load and piston position in a cylindrical cavity inside a heated metallic tube barrel.
