2. The aim is to find ways and means of bridging ‘current - technology-
based’ modern medicine and our traditional Ayurveda
Srimad Bhagavad-Gita 7th chapter titled ‘Jnana- Vijnana-Yoga’
(ज्ञानविज्ञानयोग)and Gita 17th chapter ‘Shraddha-traya – vibhaga yoga’
(श्रद्धात्रयविभागयोग |)
Also, a composite and pooled study of documented wisdom in Yoga
sastram , Ayurvedam, and ‘traditional cultural life-style’ of community
practices will be performed.
This is an important step in the research because the research area and the hypothesis
determines the direction of the study.

The term “Prakriti” represents the blueprint, of a subject which determines the
physical and mental characteristics of that subject. The Understanding of Prakriti

The Basic concept of structural, functional and pharmacological branches of
Ayurveda and Siddha is established on metaphysical philosophy -
Panchamahabhuta.
The earliest concepts of Ayurveda were set out in the portion of the Atharvana
veda.
The golden age of Indian medicine, from 800 BCE until about 1000 CE.The
medical treatises the Caraka-samhita and Susruta-samhita emerged. Caraka,was a
physician, and Susruta, was a surgeon.

course of diseases, identifying reasons that are disabling physical
conditions, and bring in cure by way of medicines and drugs.
Modern Medicine a paradigm of running series of tests on patients to
determine condition and which drug or medical procedure to deal with
illness.
In modern medicine Beneficence, Nonmaleficence, autonomy, and
justice constitute the 4 principles of ethics.
The system of modern medicine, emerged after the Industrial Revolution
in the 18th century.
5. To unwrap the “Purushartha” value of Gita- Science of Yoga and Language of Yoga
to study bridging aspects of Modern science.
The Focus and Aim of this study and research is:
Anchored research –
◦ The Yoga and scientific aspects in Srimad Bhagavad-Gita , ( chapter 7 - Slokha 4) and
thoughts -consolidated in preaching of Buddha and Mahaveera .
◦ An integrated research on literature and practices in Patanjali Yoga Sutra and multiple
streams of ancient professions - Ayurveda, Siddha, Varmam, Vedanga Jyotisha, vastu.
◦ A study has to be done to bridge our samskrutham and modern medicine
There is also an implicit need to strategize and create small – “Sanathana Dharma
-Yoga –Forest” to surface out our traditions, Yoga, dharma, sastra, veda agama and
many other virtues to compete and outstand the alien परधर्म (Paradharma).
To Prognosticate and establish the treasure of advanced knowledge in our divine
scriptures and practices.
