INTRODUCTION
 A 4G system will be able to provide a solution where voice,
  data and streamed multimedia can be given to the users on
  “Anytime Anywhere ” basis and higher data rates than the
  previous generations.
 It is a wireless access technology and is a successor of 3G.

 Communication at 100Mbps while moving and 1Gbps while
  stationary.

 4G networks are all IP based heterogeneous networks.

Wider bandwidths, higher bit rates.

Global mobility and Service portability.

Support interactive multimedia services,
teleconferencing, wireless internet etc.,

      Video calls, video clips, news, music, sports.
      Video streaming, TV broadcast.
      Enhanced gaming, chat, location services.

   NTT DoCoMo (JAPAN)
   DIGIWEB (IRELAND)
   SPRINT (CHICAGO)
   VERIZON WIRELESS
   VODAFONE GROUP
   AMERICAN WIRELESS PROVIDER CLEARWIRE etc.,
ADVANTAGES
   High Speed -Data Rate of 100 Mbps for mobile and 1 Gbps while
    stationary.
   It is 10 times faster than 3G.
   Low cost -access technologies, services and applications can
    unlimitedly be run through wireless backbone over wire-line
    backbone using IP address.
DISADVANTAGES
 New technology which make it very expensive.
 It is not available in many locations of the world.
APPLICATIONS
 It is applicable in various wireless technologies like LTE ,Wi-Fi.
 It also used in devices like cell-phones, laptops, digital
  cameras, printers and so on.
CONCLUSION
 The mobile technology though reached only at 3G now, 4G
  offers us to provide with a very efficient and reliable wireless
  communication system for roaming over various network
  including internet which uses IP network.
 The 4G system will be implemented in the coming years
  which area miracle in the field of communication engineering
  technology.
