2. Social group represented:
Young people – Teenagers because of the age of
our actors, this allows the target audience (15+)
to relate to the characters in the same way that
Kick Ass does.
One comment in our feedback suggested that the
age of the actor is deceiving as the main
character seems to have an occupation in the
form of a factory worker; this suggests that he is
older than first thought by the viewers. In this
case the older audience by stating that he is a
working man, allowing them to relate with this
character. This shows a positive feature as the
audience felt as though the film could potentially
be generalised to a much broader audience
however this was not intended.
3. Social Group: Lower to middle class, a male,
works in a factory, age not stated.
Represented: Honest, typical working man
because he wakes up and gets organised like
any other independent male would (e.g.
typical procedure by brushing teeth, drinking
juice etc.). Casual clothing suggests that he is
informal, not typical hero characteristics.
