remember it than if you are trying to remember the

predictable, then you have the basis of an effective
memory system which can be used to help you
memorize vast amounts of information.

principle as you prepare for the Level 1 exam, we have

After all the Law should govern how we all
behave in society, so that is how it links to the
Ethics and Professional Standards part of the
syllabus, which should govern how we behave
as CFA Candidates and Charterholders…

Ethics and Professional Standards:

…since the Law Courts building is covered in
bullet holes and gun rhymes with one, you
have an image that allows you to link the Law
Courts to the number 1, thus telling you that
the Law Court is the first location in the
village.
By associating the Law with Ethics and
Professional Standards you can associate this
image with a particular part of the syllabus.

ties, some of them wear bow ties and some of
them wear business ties…

Corporate and fine ants living in a Beehive (5th location) –
Corporate Finance

…this tells you that they are either Corporate
Ants or Fine Ants. So collectively they are
Corporate Fine Ants, they this location is
where the Corporate Finance element of the
syllabus is covered.
You know it is the fifth location because the
ants all live in bee hives and hive rhymes with
five.

…the library holds lots of books and books can
also be referred to as Portfolios. Therefore
this is where the Portfolio Management
element of the syllabus is covered.
You know it is the sixth location because the

…Equine is Latin for Horse, so what you have
here is is ‘Equine Tea’, literally horses drinking
tea.
As such this is where the Equity part of the
syllabus is covered…

not only are the horses drinking tea, they are
