Tadao Ando’s Concept Process of design is not broken down into stages He believes that everything has to be done by hands, because he doesn’t believe in systematization and modernization Ando looks at abstract spaces as not abstract spaces by searching on those spaces for the original form of space Born in 1941 in Osaka Did not go to university after high school Was self-educated as he grew up in a craftsman like environment In high school he discovered that he likes sketch Attended a drawing school Had a mission not only to pursue superficial comforts but to examine what has been discarded in the process of economic growth and seek what are essential to human dwelling The selection of material in result is the purification of space into spatial essence
