This proposal is for an unofficial music video for Logic's song "Midnight". The target audience will be teenagers aged 12-20 who are fans of Logic's music. Specialist techniques to be used include a green screen and mirror effects in Premier Pro. The concept is to create a puzzling countryside background throughout the video using mirror effects to add variety beyond stationary shots. Evaluation will focus on editing skills with the green screen and mirror effects rather than production, to create a stylish video through editing. A 5 week schedule is outlined with tasks including pre-production research, filming using a tripod and green screen, and post-production including mirror effects and screening.

Audience:
My audience will be a varied between all ages but focus mainly teenagers as they’re the main
consumer of logics music anyways and are most likely going to have the access to see the music
video. The age range will be from 12-20 years old which covers all the teenage stage in life as
that’s where they will enjoy the video for different reasons like the older ages may enjoy it for its
after effects like the green screen and mirror effect. Where as the younger audience may enjoy the
effects for a more basic and visual reason and not enjoy the other techniques as much as an older
viewer may enjoy.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
The skills I’ve learnt throughout all the planning and experiments are that I am beginning to use
premier pre efficiently and have learnt the mirror effect and how to use it effectively as well as
getting to know how to use the green screen well and having changing the difference in the
resolution as it may not work exactly after the video is first put onto a green screen. I have also
gained more experience with using a camera and understanding the different angles needed to
work with the green screen and mirror effects.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept for my project is a puzzling background of the countryside which will be created in the
after production like the editing technique (mirror effect) as it will be throughout all the long and
wide shots as that will add more flavour to the video as if it was just the regular countryside it will
soon become repetitive and tedious for a viewer as it also shows of my newly attained skills and
the green screen will be used a lot during the video as well to show different skills that can be used
on premier pro as the entire point of the video is too just to show off different effects and create a
similar styled music video although it is in a completely different setting as it is filmed only in the
countryside which isn’t a scene that is shown a lot in music videos in this day and age as it is not
seen as a desirable place for viewers of rappers. It is a video just following a figure who resembles
logic the artist and how free and wild he is in the scene as the entire background is open fields with
hardly anyone around.
Production Techniques (approx. 150 words)
The specialist techniques I will focus on using will be a green screen and the mirror effects on
premier pro as well as I may use a shoulder rig to perform a tracking and a dolly shot to add more
variety to the style of shots and it provides different angles other than the stationary shots
produced from a camera on a tripod which will also be used during the filming segment for obvious
reasons. It will focus on the after production as the editing of the mirror effect and the usage of the
green screen as it will allow me to how the skills of editing and create a stylish video through
editing.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan to evaluate my work by focusing on my editorial skills and not the actual production of the
video I will focus on my aftereffects and camera movement will be a large part to it becoming a
good video but the main part of the video being successful will be the editing like the mirror effect
and green screen.
