Our objective at Kara is to produce apparel for women who want to exude mystery
and strut with confidence in their everyday lives. With our Deep Sea Serenade line,
we intend to do this with the rich color schemes of the underwater realm and the

5. Analysis of Inspirational Garment:
Gucci
❖ Who: The target customer for Gucci are men and women aged 20-60, and
children from birth up to the age of 12. Wealthy, upper class, celebrities who
are able to afford luxurious high-end products are included in this segment.
❖ Strength & Opportunities: This garment has an effortless flow, perfect to
include in our Deep Sea Serenade clothing line for an opportunity to showcase how
upscale our collection is, without breaking the bank.
❖ Weakness’ & Challenges: The challenge is making sure our garment is not
an exact replica; we want to put our own flare so it transitions nicely in our
Deep Sea Serenade clothing line.
❖ Adaptation: In order to make our “knockoff” garment more affordable for
our target market, we will be using polyester instead of silk, saving us a
tremendous amount of money just by switching to a cost-efficient fabric. The
lining in this dress will not be detachable, and will also be made of polyester
instead of silk. Our Polyester fabric will come printed in either an ombre
mermaid scale print or a mixture of printed bodice over a solid colored skirt.
