REFERENCE
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into
a far country, who called his own servants, and
delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave
five talents, to another two, and to another one; to
every man according to his several ability; and
straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had
received the five talents went and traded with the
same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise
he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the
earth, and hid his lord's money. Matt 25:14-18 (KJV)
OBJECTIVE
To define potential and possible ways how it can be
discovered.
INTRODUCTION
God is the source and creator of potential, that is why
He is called ‘omnipotent’. (music, manufacturing,
business, technology, management etc. are in God).
Every man has the same potential of His nature and
ability.
Man is created not to struggle in life, but to realize the
fullness of our potential (discovery, refinement, release
and maximization).
Man’s frustration in life, is rooted in his negative
approach and attitude to potential. Why are we
suffering in third world nations, Nigeria inclusive?
INTRODUCTION
It is slavery to sell potential. In other words, selling
your natural resources in it’s crude state is equal to
national slavery. Just like the early slave trade in
third world nations.
Little wonder why many people are professional
slaves, because they are where they are not using
their inherent potential, but been paid for the use of
their physical energy.
Trading your physical energy at the expense of
your potential is tantamount to slavery.
WHAT IS POTENTIAL?
Capacity to develop, succeed, or become
something.
Untapped power.
Latent/unused ability.
PRINCIPLES OF POTENTIAL
1. Man’s success is tied to it.
2. It is not determined by man; not for man’s private
interpretation, but to align himself to it.
3. It is a fragment of God’s potency in man.
4. No man is void of potential.
5. Every man becomes ‘his potential’.
6. It is in it’s raw state in man.
7. Man is accountable to God for his potential.
8. It is your birthright, your gift from God and to
humanity.
9. The purpose is for dominion; not man, but your area of
influence.
CONCEPT
All trees in the creation process, were produced
with it’s seed within.
All animals were commanded to reproduce after
their kind, in their various habitat. Therefore, it
suggest that there is a seed of creation in every
animal.
Man was commanded to dominate. This suggests
that there is a capacity (potential) in man for
dominion.

HOW TO DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIAL?
1. Seek your source Matt.6:33
Asking Jer.33:3
God is in the best position to ask this question; not
your college teacher, your friends and associates,
your parents. They could in any way be used as
instruments.
HOW TO DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIAL?
2. Analyze yourself by asking the right questions:
What do I love to do sweatlessly, even without been
paid? (Gen.40:5-8)
What stirs uncommon anger in me in the right
direction? (John 2:16)
What are my unique experiences? (1 Sam.17:36)
What brings me utmost fulfillment and joy after
doing? (Paul Allen, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Michael
Jordan, Tiger Woods).
What do you do that empower generation of unusual
ideas without struggles.
HOW TO DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIAL?
3. Search the scriptures and other anointed books
by anointed interpreters. (Luke 4:16-20, 1
Cor.2:9&10)
God’s word is the book of potentials. (John 1:1-5)
Every man’s potential is part in scriptures.
HOW TO DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIAL?
4. Stewardship: you can discover your potential in
what you have found to do heartily and with
passion; not for high service, but for influence.
If you are not faithful in what is another…(Luke
16:12)
He that walks with the wise, shall be wise.
All great success-stories from scriptures and in
our contemporary times, many found theirs
through this means. (The Apostles, Moses, Elisha,
Thomas Edison, Henry Ford etc).
