Implementing a real NFV solution is difficult, so we have the OPNFV platform. Building and deploying OPNFV platform is difficult, so we have the powerful installers. Now verifying the deployment platform suitable for VNFs is also difficult: different hardware/components/installers/SDN controllers/VNFs, what do we have? This presentation will first introduce the methodology of pre-deployment validation of NFVI which defined in NFV ISG standard, then show how to utilize yardstick's generic test suites to examine basic infrastructure metrics that reflecting the specific VNF type requirements, and last explain how to analyze the benchmarking data by using yardstick dashboard. A demo will also be provided to show the whole validation process clearly.
