TERMS & CONDITIONS POLICY
Volunteer
We have a variety of opportunities for you to explore depending upon your passion, availability and
experience. Volunteers must be over 21 years of age, have a valid California Driver’s License, a clean driving
record, proof of auto insurance and successfully complete a background clearance.
Information and Referral
Call Center Volunteers (Ongoing):
Ventura County provides callers with free of charge, 24 hour a day, 7 day a week access to multifaceted
information and referral services for funeral planning and human service needs. ONA staff and volunteers assist
callers in determining the community resources that best meet their needs. In a time of limited resources and
escalating needs, ONA helps existing services and resources reach more community members. Volunteer
opportunities include:
*Supporting ONA services through administrative projects, including agency information update projects.
*Assisting callers - due to the training involved in providing phone services, this opportunity requires a 4
hour/week commitment for at least 6 months. Four to six hour shifts are available throughout the day, afternoon
and early evening.
You must be comfortable with computers and with phone communication and must be able to come to the Ventura
location. Volunteers must be fingerprinted and have background clearance. Apply Now Here
