Mechatronics is a synergistic combination of
precision engineering, electronic control and
mechanical systems. It is the science that exists
at the interface between the other
five disciplines:

The entrance of Mechatronics education into Nigeria
educational system can be dated back to the year 2010.
Of which there has since been an appreciable level of
acceptance. Some of the higher institutions that

5. WHY VOCATIONAL TRAINING?
Mechatronics Engineering being a multi-disciplinary
course has a very wide potential. And so an effective way to
get the knowledge rightly imparted is to break it down
into vocational fragments. Nigeria being more of end user
nation is in dire need of intensive exploration of the
developed technology. Some of our breakthrough so far
as a nation were achieved through this means of tracing
back the rudiment from existing finished product.
