2 Climate Change Expert Group Article 6.4 mechanism design issues, Part II 1. The new context of Article 6.4 (e.g. all Parties will have NDCs) brings new host-Party benefits and implications compared to previous regime. 2. Need to strike a balance for simplicity and stringency of rules (to facilitate private sector participation) within the context of environmental integrity. 3. Parties need to reflect on the relation between NDCs and net- zero targets/LT-LEDS to fast-track mitigation. Breakout Group A
