Why green growth indicators?
To understand how different factors affect green growth.
To monitor progress towards green growth and measure results.
Need the same core indicators across different countries
2. What is green growth?
Green growth means fostering economic growth and
development while ensuring that natural assets continue to
provide the resources and environmental services necessary for
our well-being.
It catalyses investment and innovation, and gives rise to new
sources of growth.
Green growth is not a replacement for sustainable
development, but a way of putting it into practice.
