Why is Empowerment important today? (rev)
 Empowerment is the process of enabling employees to
set their own work objectives , making decisions and
solve problems with their own spheres of responsibility.
 It is about sharing power with employees.
RATIONALE BEHIND EMPOWERMENT
 It promotes creative thinking and self-confidence.
 Increases employees engagement and contribution.
 Lower absenteeism and better productivity.
 Increasing loyalty and extra efforts.
IMPORTANCE OF EMPOWEMENT
 Employees believe that they have impact on
critical decisions.
 Employees feel competent.
 it also leads to creativity and innovation
since the employees have the authority to act
on their own.

Sir Magdi Yacoub,focuses on children’s charity Chain Of Hope, which he
founded in 1995, and Egypt’s Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, which
supports the Aswan Heart Center
 Yacoub is in his 70’s, he still believes in making a difference in people’s
lives.
 He believes in his staff and empowered them and trained them well that
they can make surgeries alone, as he said “ I am here or I am not here
is the same” and it shows his trust and that he believes in his staff.

(rev)  Empowerment is the process of enabling employees to set their own work objectives , making decisions and solve problems with their own spheres of responsibility.  It is about sharing power with employees.
  • 4. RATIONALE BEHIND EMPOWERMENT  It promotes creative thinking and self-confidence.  Increases employees engagement and contribution.  Lower absenteeism and better productivity.  Increasing loyalty and extra efforts.

Sir Magdi Yacoub,focuses on children’s charity Chain Of Hope, which he founded in 1995, and Egypt’s Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, which supports the Aswan Heart Center  Yacoub is in his 70’s, he still believes in making a difference in people’s lives.  He believes in his staff and empowered them and trained them well that they can make surgeries alone, as he said “ I am here or I am not here is the same” and it shows his trust and that he believes in his staff.
