I. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM AND OBJECTIVES:
In line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10533, or the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, Don Andres Soriano National High
School-Based Learning Action Cell (LAC) Plan is anchored to the Department of Education Order No. 12 s. 2020 or the Learning Continuity Plan
under the New Normal which gears towards the modification of teaching and learning procedures for the safety of the learners and teaching personnel.
The School-Based Learning Action Cell during this pandemic provides an opportunity for the teachers to adopt curricular adjustments, alignment
of learning materials, awareness of multiple learning modalities, create innovative ways of designing optimal learning experiences and assessing
learning progress. The program aims to develop the teachers’ engagement in collaborative professional development activities, which have a great
potential to serve as Support Mechanism for the continuous learning since this is an avenue where teachers can share strategies and methodologies
to effectively deliver the most essential learning competencies to the learners in the context of the school during this new normal. It also aims to
enhance the competencies of the teachers which helps improve their teaching process and augment the academic performance of the students.
Don Andres Soriano NHS - School-Based Learning Action Cell (LAC) with the theme “Teachers’ Preparedness on the New Normal in Education”
reflects the following objectives:
1. augment the Araling Panlipunan teachers with the teaching strategies that responds to the linguistic, cultural, socioeconomic and
religious backgrounds to uplift pedagogical tactics in the New Normal; and
2. enrich Araling Panlipunan teachers in designing Action Research about Modular Learning Modality: Its Problems and Issues in
Araling Panlipunan.
