1. Proposal for International Residential School
“The school was not the end; it was rather the instrumental means for improving the way of life.” – St. John Bosco
In recent years, great educational institutions have been transmuting themselves to suit the dynamic nature of the VUCA world (Volatility,
uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity). The pandemic has given us a glimpse into the need for creating future leaders who possess skills such as
adaptability and learning agility. Our Management aims to form an institution that is not only grounded on the values of the society but also adapt
to the changing requirements of education. Researchers all over the globe are emphasizing the importance of instilling and cultivating multiple
forms of intelligences in children from a young age. We will align ourselves to this and incorporate the multifaceted nature of inclusive and
interdisciplinary learning.
The very nature of education from a mere knowledge dissemination to co creation and discovery is something we hold very dear to our heart. In a
world where the near future demands skills necessary to co-work with machines, we intend to become the seedbed for future leaders who will not
only embrace technology but direct it towards the betterment of the human civilization. As a part of this mission we wish to create individuals who
are socially responsible and civic minded. The three essential components of education – curriculum, pedagogy and learning environment will be
carefully chosen to suit the needs of the Thai society and the world at large. The learning environment will not only give impetus to build respect
for the nation but also enable global thought leaders in diverse fields.
2. Our school will look beyond the inherent biases towards linguistic modes of education to innovative methods of helping children empower
themselves. We believe that every child has the potential to create a novel future, however the direction chosen will truly depend on the personality
of that individual. Therefore, we cannot stress enough on the emphasis we intend to lay on creating individuals who are holistic. But such a culture
can be created only if the entire community that surrounds the child assists in progressing the same. In order to achieve this, we will to partner
with the parents in bringing out of the best in their children; in line with this we will be organising adequate parent teacher conferences. The work
culture, be it in terms of the processes that will be laid down, technological interventions that aid learning or the governance that would act as the
guiding principle, would be student centric. The management will take it upon itself to regularly train and guide the faculty and staff to be
adequately prepared to counter the daunting challenges of the curriculum, pedagogy and the learning environment in our world today.
We believe that being dynamic is crucial, be it in terms of the various technological interventions, processes, policies or even keeping abreast with
the changing needs of the society. Therefore, we will set up structures that will enable decentralized progress through continuous innovation. The
latest proven techniques will be chosen to enable the use of innovative learning methods to all our students. As already indicated, sufficient
emphasis will be laid upon co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to promote overall growth in the child.
In reverence to the great mission of Don Bosco, the core idea on which our school will rest is a fraternity that is focused on building a better future
in love and kindness. Mutual respect, harmony and inclusivity will be the pillars on which we intend to build this fraternity. We intend to create
3. experiences and memories that will be cherished and carried forward for a life time. Our school environment will be a microcosm of the real world
- instilling a sense of the reality and at the same time giving the courage to dream. Our management believes that every child is unique and every
dream is precious.
