 ONGC B193 .(May 2013-March 2015)
CLIENT: SIME DARBY
B193-A well-cum-Process platform having a separate bridge connected Living
Quarter platform along with HP and LP flare structures, 5 well platforms and intra field
submarine lines located in the Heera-Panna-Bassien field. All the processing facilities i.e.
fuel gas system, separation, produced water treatment, gas compression and
dehydration, acid gas removal and disposal unit is installed on the process platform. This
field is of marginal nature and has high H2S (in the range of 6000 to 24000 ppm) &
moderate CO2 content.
PCTS was intended to construct AP(Process Platform) and AQ(Living Quarters) and
pipeline works for Sime Darby. Coating is mandatory for the project to avoid corrosion and
achieve guaranteed life.
 HEERA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT(HRD) (May 2015- October 2015)
CLIENT: AFCONS-TECHNIP-THHE
The HRD Process Platform project is part of the development activities of
India's state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) in the Heera field located
43.5 miles (70 kilometers) south-west of Mumbai city and 87 miles (140 kilometers) south-
east of Mumbai High in average water depth of 164 feet (50 meters). "HRD has been
proved to be a technically challenging project with schedule constraint and stringent
construction requirements.
PCTS scope of work was to do the structural and piping at both Onshore and Offshore.
Structural work like strengthening for bridge landing and bridge construction and pipeline
works were carried out. Coating is mandatory for the project to avoid corrosion and
achieve guaranteed life.
 ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF VASAI EAST PROJECT(ADVEP) (NOVEMBER 2015-
JANUARY 2016)
CLIENT: LARSEN & TOUBRO
VDEP process platform located at the Bassein field is the largest gas
producing platform in Indian offshore industry and is a three process platform structure
BPA, BCPA, BCPA2 and one living quarters BLQ. It produces, separates, compresses
and supplies the gas through pipelines to onshore refineries.
The scope of work of PCTS was to do the piping and structural work of the existing
platform, and upcoming platforms BCPA3 and unman platforms, demolition of existing
AGC module and construction of new one, construction of two unman platforms and
allover coating as specified.

3. Roles & Responsibilities
 Role of a coating inspector is to Observe, Test, Verify conformance to specification (with
documentation)
 Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation
activities on site.
 Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality
Control Supervisor non-conformances reports.
 Control of storage and certification of consumables.
 Performs qualifications of coating processes.
 Checks surface preparation.
 Checks and records atmospheric conditions prior to starting of painting operations.
 Carries out wet and dry film thickness checks.
 Monitors observations of the correct coding cycles.
 Verifies the correct colour-coding and painting.
 Performs visuals inspections.
 Performs adhesion testing.
 Performs penetration testing.
 Evaluates impact testing.
 Performs visual checks after blasting.
