4. Move over, blackboard
Our digital classroom solutions aren’t a new phenomenon anymore.
Teachers who once were skeptical about interactive whiteboards
are now finding it hard to imagine what it was like to teach only
using blackboard and chalk.
Contrary to the warnings of many, liberating a diagram of the
human heart from the confines of the two-dimensional blackboard
has only expanded students’ imagination.
In fact, by enhancing their understanding of concepts with
life-like videos and simulations, the imagination of students is now
soaring the uncharted skies of application. The din of protests
against technology has transfigured into a chorus of demands for
the same.
Today, the question isn’t whether or not to digitize the classrooms
but when. Or rather, how soon.

7. Without quality content, a digital classroom solution is like a
smartphone without apps — a status symbol, yes, but smart, no.
That’s why TeachNext comes with over 16,000 modules that
make for more than 2,500 hours of classroom teaching.
A dedicated team of over 400 subject matter experts, principals,

10. 4. Attention to Detail
After analyzing over 15,000,000 hours of classroom environment
and 1,000,000 students’ learning styles, we found that Indian
students listen and comprehend better if the narration is
right-paced and in a neutral accent.
Videos in TeachNext have different pacing for different subjects
according to their difficulty levels. For instance, Science and Social
Studies videos play no more than 105 and 115 words per minute,
respectively.
Every module in TeachNext has a runtime of 8–10 minutes and for
a reason. After analyzing teaching styles of over 100,000 teachers,
we realised that 8–10 minutes is the optimum duration to cover a
concept in one period.
This complements the other requisite components of classroom
teaching: discussion, teacher’s explanation, and testing.
9
11. 5. Integrated Tools
The blackboard has evolved. It’s called NextStudio — the virtual
blackboard of TeachNext. With NextStudio, teachers can write,
draw, drag images, annotate or highlight — over the video itself.
NextDictionary tells you not just the meanings of words but also
their usage, roots and associations.
Enter NextMaps. A wonderful world atlas that can move across
geography and time.
To the learning delight of students, there are virtual experiments.
To the delight of teachers, there is NextTools: a set of 500+
wonderful tools including the periodic table, log tables and a
pH indicator.
All these tools come fully integrated with the content.
10
12. 6. Adherence to CBSE, ICSE and State Boards
TeachNext conforms with CBSE, ICSE, Army and 23 state board
syllabuses in seven different languages. Content is also mapped to the
NCERT curriculum. Besides, you can create your own custom board.
You can pick and choose modules and chapters from other boards
and the Internet and share them with other school branches wherever
they may be.
The Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) guidelines
always influence the development of different modules of TeachNext.
For instance, teachers can create assessments on the fly and evaluate
performance instantly.
An ever-increasing list of virtual experiments and a question bank of
more than 200,000 questions add to the ‘comprehensiveness’ in CCE.

the backbone of our guiding philosophy.
Trust is the new currency. It is hard-earned and once broken,
it cannot be regained. Which is why folks at Next Education believe
in building relationships and not just making a transaction.
To us, our philosophy of TRUST isn’t a fancy acronym to impress
clients in a PowerPoint presentation; it is a way of life.

18. Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan is one of the oldest school chains in India.
Its Kochi chapter is spearheaded by E. Ramankutty — a firm believer
in making learning more democratic, inclusive and holistic.
Next Education emerged as a natural partner for digitizing Bhavan’s
six school branches across Kerala, as the company has the capability
and the experience to handle projects of such magnitude.
After the successful implementation of TeachNext in 290 classrooms,
Mr. Ramankutty was visibly relieved to see his investment pay off.
“I’m glad to certify that the service rendered by
Next Education is exemplary,” he testifies.
Enthralling 290 Classrooms at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan
Loreto Convent is one of the oldest and prestigious schools in India.
Keeping up with the times, administrators at Loreto Convent
decided to digitize their heritage classrooms in 2013. For school
administrators who prefer a long-term relationship to a quick
transaction, TeachNext, with its reliable implementation and
service support, became the obvious choice.
“We are quite satisfied with the services of the company,” said
the Principal, L. George. The students at Loreto Convent are loving
their school even more. Summing up the student response as
“positive,” the Principal is seeing the investment pay off.
For Next Education, seeing one of the oldest schools embrace
TeachNext is nothing less than an affirmation that the time for
technology in classrooms has finally arrived.

achieve such a feat.
Mrs. Leelawati Janardhana, Tezan’s teacher, found the assessment
feature of TeachNext quite helpful. “TeachNext enables teachers
to assess students’ learning with immediate performance
