WORKING
WITH
IMAGES
WHAT IS AN IMAGE?
• An image is a visual representation of something.
It can be 2D or 3D. 2D means two- dimensional
object, like a drawing or painting with only two
dimensions such as length and width, but no
thickness or height. 3D means three- dimensional
object, like a model or a sculpture with three
dimensions such as length, width, and height.
How about Graphics?
• Graphics may refer to the process of
something by which a computer displays
images. However, we should call all digital
images “graphics”, and refer to the computer
programs as graphic software.
Different Image File Formats
– Vector graphics – these are composed of mathematical
formulas that represent images. They are not dependent on
their original resolution and are flexible enough to be scaled
in many different ways without affecting the final resolution.
– Raster graphics – also known as “bitmapped graphics”,
these are image information rendered as pixels. They are
highly dependent on their original resolution.
– Meta format images – these are file formats that can be used
by different applications. They can accommodate both vector
and raster information.
Resolution
• Resolution is the clarity of an image that is
measured by dots per inch (dpi), it means that per
one-inch line there are 300 dots or pixels. This
translates to 90, 000 dots per square inch.
Scanning Images
• Scanning images is important to be acquainted
with obtaining graphics digitally.
• A Scanner is a piece of hardware that converts
light reflected from the object being scanned,
and it creates a digital image of the object.
Image Manipulation Using
Microsoft® Paint
Tools
Resizing
• Step 1: Click Home tab,
then click the resize button.
• Step 2: Type higher or
lower values for horizontal
and vertical percentage,
then click OK. You can press
Ctrl + W.
Cropping
• Step 1: Click the Select
button, then draw around
the area of the image you
want to crop.
• Step 2: If you’re done
dragging the area that you
want to crop, you can now
click the Crop button. You
can press Ctrl + Shift + X.
Flip/ Rotate
• Step 1: Click Rotate button, to rotate the image
choose your desired degree angle from the
options. You can choose Left 90°, Right 90°, or
180° angles.
• Step 2: For you to flip the image, click Rotate
button then choose your desired rotation. You
can choose Flip vertical or Flip horizontal.
Invert Colors
• This creates an image with
inverted colors like a film
negative of a color photograph.
• Step 1: Draw or drag around the
area of the image you want to
invert.
• Step 2: Simply press Ctrl + Shift
+ I.
Brushes
• This allows you
to create more
complex images.

Notas do Editor

But first before that lets define what is AN image.
  3. Image is a visual representation of something. Pag sinabing representation, ito po yung nag papakilala, nag papakilatis, nag papaliwanag, In a way na nakikita natin yung isang bagay sa kung ano ba ang istura nya, we are not gonna make use of our imagination, hindi na natin need mag imagine kasi ito na sya, hawak na natin it can be picture or something else na pwedeng hawakan, nakikita na natin sya as is. That is an image, There are two basic tyes of image the 2D or two dimensional and 3D or the 3 dimensional Seeer diba po may 4d pa at 5d. Mamaya pag uusapan natin, o kaya I google nyo kung excited kayo Two dimensional is something like a drawing, image, painting or a picture ng krash mong apaka pogi at kakagigels.. No, ayun si two dimensional. Kaya sya two dimensional kasi two dimensions lang ang meron like lenght and width lang ang meron sya haba at lapad lang ang meron siya. And those dimensions are leght and the width. Parang sa math, para makuha ang area ng rectangle, what is the formula? Width x lenght… You belong to the image na. you are there. 6D lang ganon! Wag oa.
  4. Graphics in laymans terms is soft copy. Sa image it can be touched it can be hugged or can be kissed.
  5. Vector grapgics is a graphics made by anchor points, paths and mathematical formula. Kumabag sukat sukat na sukat sya. Naalala nyo nung bata kayo, yung coloring book nyo na mayroon numbers tapos pag dudugtungin yung mga numbers pata makabuo ng isang image ? That is a type of vector graphics, which the numbers are the anchor pointsand and the trace are the paths. Kung papalikihin sya like 4 by 3 2 by 2 or so on that is the mathematical formula. Sa raster graphics naman it is made of milyons of colored picture points or pixels. And the graphics under raster has only limited amount of pixels. Kaya pag zinoozoom in pixelated sya or maraming box eme dun sa picture,. Tanong, ano ang mas malinaw? RASTER or VECTOR?
Sa vector kasi you will create the graphics, sa raster, you will capture the graphics.
  7. Resolution is kung gaano kalinaw ang isang image, resolution is measured by pixels.
  8. Scanning is the way to make an image as a graphic. Diba sabi natin kanina, si image is the hard copy, I scan si image pag na scan na the product will be the graphics, now it is the soft copy of the image earlier.
  9. Here in image manipulation, we will learn how to rotate, resize, crop, and invert colors using the Microsoft paint. Mejo alam nyo nato. Kaya ang may alam, babagsak. Kunwari wala pa kayo alam haaaa.
  10. Rectangular selction and free from selction tool is a cropping option. Pwedeng i tetrace nyo yung I ka crop using free selction or just a box using the reactangular selection Eraser tool use to draw line and create color. Charot of course use to erase mistakes eraser ng eeeh. Pencil tool use to draw just like a real pencile kaya lang sa paint, graphically. Fill, use to fill shapes and areas with colors. Brushes, use to draw with colors. Shapes. Alam nyo na yan. Day care palang kayo Colors din alam na yan. Text tool, use to write text, use to put words in the artwork inside Microsoft paint Magnifier, use to magnify objects in your work Color picker or the medicine dropper. Use to pick colors in the art that cant be found on color pallete
  11. And that is working with imagesss. Sana po me natuutnat kayo kahit papano Next lesson, we will be talking about the proper etiquttes in using the internet connections.
