Step 1: Prepare the Seeds: In your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and melt 86 grams
of Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time. Stir gently.
Keep melting until all soap is in a liquid state.
Step 2: Add 6 drops FUN Black Oxide soap colorant to melted soap. Mix well. Add 5 grams of Pink
Watermelon fragrance oil; stir well. Once incorporated, pour all of the soap into the square loaf
mold. Set this aside and allow it to set up.
Step 3: Prepare the Rind: In your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and melt 58 grams of
Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time. Stir gently. Keep
melting until all soap is in a liquid state.
Step 4: Add 10 drops FUN Kelly Green soap colorant to melted soap. Mix well. Add 3 grams of Pink
Watermelon fragrance oil, and 2 grams vegetable glycerin; stir well.
Step 5: Next, quickly get your 9 x 13 Cake Pan, and using your dark green melted soap, carefully
pour (5) lines approximately 10 inches long and about 1 inch wide each. These will be the darker
portions of your watermelon rind. Spray these lines with alcohol.
Step 6: Again, in your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and melt 229 grams of Diamond
Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time. Stir gently. Keep melting
until all soap is in a liquid state.
3. Step 7: Add 10 drops FUN Kelly Green, 6 drops FUN Lime Green soap colorant, and 7 grams
vegetable glycerin to melted soap. Mix well. Add 12 grams of Pink Watermelon fragrance oil; stir
well. Once incorporated, pour all of the soap over your dark green lines in the cake pan. Remember,
to completely cover all 10 inches of the dark green lines. Spray this with alcohol and allow to set up
fully.
Step 8: In your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and melt 229 grams of Goat's Milk Melt
and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time. Stir gently. Keep melting until all soap is
in a liquid state.
Step 9: Then, add 7 grams vegetable glycerin, and 12 grams Pink Watermelon fragrance oil; stir well.
Once incorporated, let cool slightly. Then, pour the white soap over the green rind in your cake
pan. You may have to use your spatula to guide the white layer to cover the green one. Work
quickly, then using your alcohol in a spray bottle, generously spritz the white layer. Allow this to set
up at room temperature.
Step 10: Cutting the Seeds: Get your square loaf mold and place the mold upside down. Using your
thumbs, apply gentle pressure to the black layer of soap. When the layer releases; set it down on
your cutting board.
Step 11: Using a ruler, score several lines at least 1/2 a centimeter wide. Once you have the black
layer scored, using your large knife, completely cut the seed slices apart. Set these aside.
Step 12: Back to the Rind: Once your rind has completely set up, carefully remove it from the cake
pan. Next, get your round loaf mold and with your rind, measure 9 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 inches
wide. Cut this from your rind, and place it into your round loaf mold. Gently ease the soap down
into the mold opening, then set aside.
Step 13: Preparing the Watermelon Flesh: In your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and
melt 215 grams of Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time.
Stir gently. Keep melting until all soap is in a liquid state.
Step 14: Add 4 drops FUN Tomato Red soap colorant and 5 grams vegetable glycerin to melted soap.
Mix well. Add 11 grams of Pink Watermelon fragrance oil; stir well. Allow this to cool slightly,
almost to a liquid/gel state.
4. Please Note: When pouring the watermelon flesh layers, you want to make sure the soap is not too
hot. This will cause the "seeds" to melt away.
Step 15: Quickly pour this soap into the round loaf mold. Then, place 1-2 of the seed lines into the
red soap (you may need the assistance of your spatula). Spray this with alcohol and allow to fully
set up.
Step 16: Repeat Steps 13 and 14 and pour this into the mold. For this layer, place 2-3 of the seed
lines into the red soap (you may need the assistance of your spatula). Spray this with alcohol and
allow to fully set up.
Step 17: Repeat Steps 13 and 14 again and pour this into the mold. For this layer, place 3-4 of the
seed lines into the red soap (you may need the assistance of your spatula). Spray this with alcohol
and allow to fully set up.
Step 18: Repeat Step 13 and 14 one last time and pour this into the mold. For this final layer, place
3-4 of the seed lines into the red soap (you may need the assistance of your spatula). Spray this
with alcohol and allow to fully set up.
Step 19: Release Soap from the mold: Get your round loaf mold and place the mold upside down.
Using your thumbs, apply gentle pressure to the mold. When the soap releases; set it down on your
cutting board and using your knife slice your watermelon slices out. Your watermelon soap are now
ready to use!
