IBDP Theory of Knowledge Teacher
§ Responsible for teaching and ensuring student TOK essays, presentations, and planning documents are of an
acceptable caliber prior to IBO submission - to date we have had no students fail. Some students were able to
achieve an "A" under my tutelage.
§ Academic honesty training and ensured integrity by introducing and convincing the school of the necessity of
purchasing a license to use TurnItIn.com’s Anti-Plagiarism software.
§ Taught the learner profile and central concepts of both the IB's Mission Statement.
§ Modeled and instructed students in critical analysis and epistemological ways of thinking including learning to

§ Directly responsible for teaching 12 various software courses as listed here: Microsoft Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Access 2007 - Adobe Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver CS4 - Computer Animation using
Autodesk 3ds Max 2010. Three separate Computer Aided Design and Architecture classes using Autodesk
AutoCAD 2010, Revit Architecture, and other curricula.
§ Many of my students obtained certification in Microsoft and Adobe courses and my program had the highest
rate of certifications in all of DoDDS Europe.
§ Virtual School Facilitator responsible for implementing all distance learning programs via DODEA Blackboard
and APEX Learning contracted courses. I coordinated operations between counselors, parents, students, and
teachers for all these students, proctored tests, answered questions, and ensured that students have successful
experiences in their courses.

charter school in New Mexico even though our school population had grade level proficiency for only twenty

program and intimately responsible for a small cohort of nine students’ complete academic achievement.

May 2006 – January 2007 High Tech High School – Albuquerque, NM Algebra and Biology Teacher § My first full-time teaching position where I taught Advanced Placement to Algebra and Biology to 9th and 10th grade public school students’. § Achieved a failure rate of zero in a first-year public charter school with 20 percent of my students on Individualized Educational Plans and fifty percent of the student body receiving free lunch. § Implemented all lesson plans for multiple learning styles and sheltered instruction for ESL students.
