One more meaning can be taken मिलित also means having embraced Or else the dress became dark colored when the Yamuna embraced you because of fear of hit with spade. The Yamuna is dark colored.
Most verses the alamkara is ullekha narration.
On two occasions he used athishayokti the way comparison is done is not at all possible like Yamuna coming and embrasing and making the dress black. Similar is the description of a flower destroying a bee in Narasimhavathara
One example of dristantha is seen in Varahavathara. Earth sticking on to your teeth like the mark sticking on moon crescent. Just like image and mirror image. These two are different forms of similies.
One more possible alamkara is vakrokti. Vamana word is used twice and told to be adbhutavamana who cheated Bali in measuring. Second Vamana is meant to be huge.
