were drawn and scenes were set. The final painting is done by a professional illustrator, though, the
character lines are drawn by me because it requires expertise and know-how. The Disney’s character

The team was set up for the first attempt of branding workshops hosted by Designplus. The first 7. Project Management
prototype was so fuzzy that the planner and I formed the concept of the workshop and appearance Design style guide for Tokyo Disneyland, 2005
together through a number of discussions. In spite of the small budget, the materials and the venue are
well organised keeping the same touch simply to deliver the concept of the workshops. The event ended This project initiated by my ideas. The style guide was developed for the Christmas event in Tokyo
in success and is going to be a regular workshop from next year. Disney Resort. Based on the concept, tree ornaments, a craft artist was designated, and worked together.
Each ornament stands for an attraction in the two Disney theme parks in Tokyo. As the handcrafted parts
are highly stylized, my role was not to cross the line but bring out the artist’s character to idealise the
concept.

8. Drawing+Design
This is an over-year, big project. In the first phase, I had many meetings with the author of the English Logo design and drawing for the event at Tokyo Disney Resort, 2003
version. As the original book, even though the title of the book is DESIGN management, does not have
supportive visuals and it does not help readers understand this highly theoretical book, at all, I picked up
the points where diagrams should be made, and harmonised the theories into neat visuals. I got involved 9. Drawings
in the translation to improve accuracy of the language. Also wrote an essay regarding the subject, and Practice of “the” Disney lines, 2003
worked for the hole book design, which are, too, designed to help readers grasp ideas of the book better.
On the later phase, I worked as a coordinator between the author, Japanese professors and the publisher. Spend half a year at the Merchandise Department Design Group, at Tokyo Disney Resort, under the
supervisions of the Disney Character Artists.
