Alex has a wealth of Board experience across private, public and not-forprofit organisations. He has consulted to government, utilities, media,
financial services and manufacturing companies but his primary experience
is advising utilities or Government bodies on strategy and regulation. He
has international experience across Europe as well as Asia, Australia and
South America. Alex’s 10 years’ NED experience includes over 3 years as
chair of an audit committee. He has particularly expertise in advising
Boards on strategy and on risk management.
Alex has headed strategic planning in a FTSE50 utility and was Regulation
Director for a £1.5bn gas network. Alex is particularly adept at seeing the
wood for the trees, applying a sound analytical mind to solving complex
problems or rationalising key strategic decisions. He is renowned for
