2. Web 2.0 What it is?
It Refers to the websites that emphasize user generated content, ease
of use, participatory culture, hyper linking mechanism and user
interactivity.
It is current state of online technology which has greater collaboration
among Internet users, content providers and enterprises. Originally,
data was posted on Web sites, and users simply viewed or downloaded
the content.
3. Definition and History
It may be defined as application of the internet and world wide web,
including blogs, wikis, video sharing service, social media websites
likewise; facebook,instagram,twitter etc.
The term was invented by Darcy DiNucci in 1999 and later popularized
by Tim O’Reilly and Dale Dougherty at the O’Reilly Media Web 2.0
conference in late 2004
4. Comparison: web 1.0 upgrading web 2.0
Its not web 1.0 vs. web 2.0
Its gradual change in “user- end satisfaction”.
According to Cormode and Krishnamurthy, two great communicators of
all time, "content creators were few in Web 1.0 with the vast majority of
users simply acting as consumers of content."
But in web 2.0 it is "the web as platform"
Scott Dietzen puts it, "the Web becomes a universal, standards-based
integration platform"

Web 2.0 Is Second Generation of world wide web.
Main focus is to build ability for the people to collaborate and share the
information.
Information is shared via Social Media, Blogging and Web based
communication.
Moreover not only the information ; but, it let people to express
themselves online.
7. Examples:
A website that reviews hotels we may say trivago;
Use social media, user generated content , photographs from flickr, google
maps and content from around to create a more complete user experience. We
can even give feedback there and book tickets there, can make payment there
on same web page.
The same is with Paytm;
It also uses social media, user generated content, photographs,google maps,
liability with service provider to provide us with everything we require; we can
book tickets, we can buy mobile photo, any electronic gadget, we can bills, we
can recharge our data packs and so many things!
