  • 3. Traditional DB Promotion • Database page list or page accessible by subject or topic and/or format • Training sessions by vendors either live or via the web • Information literacy presentations for one- shot classes • Campus-wide sessions • LibGuides Pages
  • 4. Inspiration • Lack of participation at traditional database workshops • Vendor suggestion – Library Vendor Fairs • Promote Library Databases • Invite 8 to 10 Vendors – Booths – Presentations – Prizes – Refreshments

Library Planning • Initial vendor contact by E-Resources Librarian • Planning meeting of faculty, staff, and managers • Volunteers at the meeting selected a vendor based on bibliographic area or interest • Introductory email sent to each vendor telling them who they would be working with on matters concerning their visit

I think this type of thing should become a class. • It was interesting to find out how many resources are available to me. • I was excited to meet with the database reps. There were many here that I had not heard of. • I wish I came to this a few years ago! • You basically covered the important vendors I use frequently thank you for your effort • Great for graduate students!
