Employment reference : Mr. Mohammed Al Haswi
I am pleased to provide this reference to record my assessment of the work performed and contribution
made by Mr. Mohammed Al Haswi throughout the five year period whilst I have been his senior
manager during his employment with the Ras Al Khaimah Customs department. RAK Customs is a
government department which is responsible for control of goods and persons entering or leaving the
UAE, the collection of customs duties and enforcement control of the movement of restricted /
prohibited items.
During his service with RAK Customs Mohammed has always demonstrated the highest level of
commitment and application to the performance of his duties. The work that Mohammed performed
within the department is diverse and requires concise understanding of official regulations and policies,
enabling him to make effective decisions and give subsequent clear guidance to his staff and to
customers. His role includes frequent contact with members of the public, both by personal visits to the
office and by telephone. His work involves the management of staff and the requirement to ensure that
his technical knowledge remains current with assimilation of amendments as they occur. Mohammed
has been a trusted focal point for enquiries and advice with regard to customs affairs procedures..
The role has required Mohammed to work independently at times. He has worked very effectively as a
manager of the customs centre but also as a member of the administrative and management team
within Head Office and he is very comfortable in either role. He works very well unsupervised and can
be relied upon to fully explore a situation and make sound decisions when required or to seek advice
as necessary. Mohammed clearly integrates well with colleagues and is very willing to provide any
support and guidance whenever it is required.
Mohammed is a hard working employee who has been a loyal member of this Department during his
time of service with us. He has consistently displayed the highest level of honesty and integrity.
Mohammed has strong self-motivation, is a good team worker and is committed to succeed. I am sorry
to learn that Mohammed has decided to leave the RAK Customs department, but I understand his
ambition to progress his career and seek new challenges and I am sorry to lose a reliable and
enthusiastic staff member. I would recommend Mohammed highly as a strong candidate for future
employment in whatever career he seeks to undertake and I wish him well for the future.
