1.1. Purpose:
The overall crime rate in Singapore has risen over the
year 2015, to take precautions, one of the things we
do in our project have work on devices that helps to
ensure our safety and devices for elderly that helps to
warn their family members if something happened.
Thus, with the help of our project we can decline the
crime rate in Singapore even more and we can also
be informed when the elderly meets trouble!
1. INTRODUCTION
The features we used in our projects are:
 Fall Sensor
 Infrared Occupancy Sensor
(Motion Sensor)
 Wireless Siren
 Wireless Light Sensor
 MXE-202i (Hardware)
 Modbus EX9050-MTCP Digital I/O Module
 Modbus EX9017-MTCP Analog In with 2/DO Module
1.2. Scenarios:
InfraredOccupancySensor
(Motion Detector)
Light Emitting Diode
1.3. Scenarios:
WirelessSiren
WirelessLight Sensor
Advantages:
Fall Sensor
Disadvantages:
 Easy to carry along.
 Access with a touch of a
button.
 Low battery detection.
 Can detect between normal
activity, and an actual fall.
MXE-202i
 Home Automation.
 Wifi
 Programmes can be
installed.
 Expensive.
 Not waterproof.
 Expensive.
 Not portable.
1.3. Advantages/Disadvantages:
Advantages:
Infrared Occupancy Sensor
Disadvantages:
(Motion Sensor)
 Detects moving objects,
particularly people.
 A system that automatically
performs a task or alerts a
user of motion in an area
 Sensitive to minor motions,
such as hand movements.
Wireless Siren
 Easy Setup/Install.
 No wires needed.
Wireless Light Sensor
 Portable.
 Expensive.
 Not loud enough.
 Cannot be used in dark-lit
places.
2. SUMMARY
 The purpose of our project allows user to use it
conveniently since most of it is portable.
 Able to guard your property against burglaries.
 Moreover, a life could be saved by automatically informing
family members if anything were to happen.
 Having easy configuration with user-friendly administrator
interface and dashboards.
Fall Sensors
 Fall Sensor is designed to be
worn by an elderly to detect
falls 24 hours a day.
 When detecting a fall, it
automatically activate the siren
so that help can reach the user
at the earliest possible time.
 Help can also be assured at the
push of the button!
3. WORKING PROCEDURES
Functions:
InfraredOccupancy Sensor
(MotionDetector)
 Using motion detectors as
sensors allows a home
automation system to make
specific events happen
automatically.
 It can trigger a light to come ON
automatically, a camera to begin
recording, or an alarm to sound.
WirelessSiren
 Can be used for
guarding your property
against burglaries.
WirelessLight Sensor
 To measure the light
intensity.
5. FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS
References (QR Code)
 The future improvement for the fall sensor is that the
family members/guardian will be aware of any accidents
that happened immediately.
 And the emergency pendant tag button should be made
waterproof because most of the elderly will usually fall
inside the toilet. They can wear it around their neck and
shower at the same time.
 In conclusion, it’s easy for us to programme each of the
individual zigbees and match the devices around to let it
work. Thus, this will make lives easier.
