12. Diagnostic Assessment
• To improve the Learner’s Experience and their level of achievement.
• It looks backwards rather than forwards.
• It assesses what the learner already knows.
• It is often used before teaching or when a problem arises.
Types of Diagnostic Assessments
• Pre-tests: To get an understanding about the students’ knowledge level.
• Self-assessments: To identifying Skills and Competencies of the students.
