In this presentation, Pooja talks about an innovative project on "Remote surveillance Vehicle" that has various sensors that detect toxic gases, human beings, temperature etc. Her team designed the system using Android APIs and Arduino, her interest area lies in android development.

A Remote Surveillance Vehicle for Army
O This reports on the surveillance vehicle designed for the
O Surveillance operations include the detection,
recognition and identification of objects and events,
their relationships, activities, and plans, in a given
Volume of Interest (VOI).
O By using appropriate Sensors we have detected the
various data such as distance, human detection,
temperature ,toxic gases and live video stream.
O In this, we report an Android platform that
communicate with robots over a Bluetooth connection
with Arduino platform.
O The main intention of the UMS is cruise as well as
hover over the every possible atmosphere, terrain and
traverse over silent waters.
O But major concern is with communication protocols,
we proceeded with simple land hover mechanism.
O The integration of Artificial Intelligence and majority
of manual control to these Systems will make them
co-independent of the human brain to decide every
next step of operation.
O Direct communication is achieved between the user
and vehicle and updates the live stream of data.
O The vehicle can be controlled and the data can be
retrieved using an Android application.
O Since Bluetooth and Wi-Fi gives only a limited range of
Communication, this can be enhanced by using a
Satellite Communication which can provide a wide
range of communications in the Embedded vehicle.
O The distance and temperature of surrounding can be
calculated using sensor which will be recorded and this
large amount of data can be analyzed and evaluated
using Big data.
O Android has a growing selection of third-party
applications, which can be acquired by users by
installing the application's APK file, or by
downloading them using an application
store program that allows users to install, update,
and remove applications from their devices ,with
a user interface based on direct manipulation.
O If provided an internship on above specified area, I
intend to work with Android platform .
