discipline coordination
The NCS-2 pipeline system consists of the following items:
- Offshore pipeline is approximate 325 km to transport 2 phase gas, starts from The Hai
Thach Platform passes the Central Processing Platform of Thien Ung field, Bach Ho and
then runs to a Landfall Station at Long Hai.
- Onshore pipeline is approximate 9 km, from Long Hai Landfall Station (LFS) to Gas
Processing Plant (GPP2) at Dinh Co.
- Onshore dry gas pipeline is approximate 30 km, from Dinh Co GPP2 to Gas Phu My
Distribution Central (GDC). The onshore pipeline includes:
 Line block valve station (LBV) at Phuoc Hoa.
 Phu My GDC expansion: Only pig receiver, metering skid and tie-ins.
- Two liquid product pipelines (LPG & Condensate) is approximate 25 km from outlet of Dinh
Co GPP2 to transport to Thi Vai Terminal and 03 LBVs.
- Wet H2S/CO2 environment in gas gathering pipelines of a sour gas filed was simulated in a
high temperature and high pressure autoclave. Corrosion experiments were carried at a
constant H2S/CO2 partial pressure ratio of 1.7 and H2S partial pressure at 0.15MPa,
0.33MPa, 1.5MPa and 2.0MPa respectively. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-
Ray Diffraction (XRD) were used to analyze corrosion scales. Effects of high H2S partial
pressure on corrosion of API-X52 and X60 pipeline steels were discussed. The results show
that the corrosion rate of the two steels increased with the H2S and CO2 partial pressure at
the temperature of 60oC with a constant H2S/CO2 partial pressure ratio of 1.7. The rate of
X60 was slightly higher than that of X52 steel. General corrosion was primary at the H2S
partial pressure of 0.15MPa, 0.33MPa and 1.5MPa, but localized corrosion was observed at
the H2S partial pressure of 2.0MPa. The corrosion process was controlled by H2S and
mackinawite was the dominant component in the corrosion products. The grain size of
corrosion products decreased with H2S partial pressure increasing, coupled with the
obviously change in crystal morphology and structure, which reduced the protection ability
for steels. In addition, hydrogen blistering and hydrogen-induced crack were observed in the
X60 steel.
02/09 – 02/11 Lead Pipeline Engineer – Teknica uk Libya Limited, Tripoli, LIBYA

Calculations, general specification of pipeline, Pipeline Materials for sour / non-sour
services, Pipeline Design Basis, Input to Design Drawings, Input to FEED report & EPC
SOW, Participating in Design Review and HAZOP Review Meetings, Input to Tie-in’s and
Shutdown Philosophy, Operating and Control Philosophy, Cathodic Protection Design, and
Inter-discipline coordination.

  • 3. Resume Mohammad Muthalib SOW, Pipeline Wall Thickness Calculations, Hydrostats Calculations, Road Crossing Calculations, general specification of pipeline, Pipeline Materials for sour / non-sour services, Pipeline Design Basis, Input to Design Drawings, Input to FEED report, and Inter- discipline coordination The NCS-2 pipeline system consists of the following items: - Offshore pipeline is approximate 325 km to transport 2 phase gas, starts from The Hai Thach Platform passes the Central Processing Platform of Thien Ung field, Bach Ho and then runs to a Landfall Station at Long Hai. - Onshore pipeline is approximate 9 km, from Long Hai Landfall Station (LFS) to Gas Processing Plant (GPP2) at Dinh Co. - Onshore dry gas pipeline is approximate 30 km, from Dinh Co GPP2 to Gas Phu My Distribution Central (GDC). The onshore pipeline includes:  Line block valve station (LBV) at Phuoc Hoa.  Phu My GDC expansion: Only pig receiver, metering skid and tie-ins. - Two liquid product pipelines (LPG & Condensate) is approximate 25 km from outlet of Dinh Co GPP2 to transport to Thi Vai Terminal and 03 LBVs. - Wet H2S/CO2 environment in gas gathering pipelines of a sour gas filed was simulated in a high temperature and high pressure autoclave. Corrosion experiments were carried at a constant H2S/CO2 partial pressure ratio of 1.7 and H2S partial pressure at 0.15MPa, 0.33MPa, 1.5MPa and 2.0MPa respectively. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X- Ray Diffraction (XRD) were used to analyze corrosion scales. Effects of high H2S partial pressure on corrosion of API-X52 and X60 pipeline steels were discussed. The results show that the corrosion rate of the two steels increased with the H2S and CO2 partial pressure at the temperature of 60oC with a constant H2S/CO2 partial pressure ratio of 1.7. The rate of X60 was slightly higher than that of X52 steel. General corrosion was primary at the H2S partial pressure of 0.15MPa, 0.33MPa and 1.5MPa, but localized corrosion was observed at the H2S partial pressure of 2.0MPa. The corrosion process was controlled by H2S and mackinawite was the dominant component in the corrosion products. The grain size of corrosion products decreased with H2S partial pressure increasing, coupled with the obviously change in crystal morphology and structure, which reduced the protection ability for steels. In addition, hydrogen blistering and hydrogen-induced crack were observed in the X60 steel. 02/09 – 02/11 Lead Pipeline Engineer – Teknica uk Libya Limited, Tripoli, LIBYA Responsibilities Include: Development of technical deliverables including pipeline project plan, scope, conceptual engineering and pipeline design methodologies, cost estimates, design deliverables estimates. Multi-disciplinary evaluation and justification of route alternatives, Route Survey SOW, Pipeline Wall Thickness Calculations, Hydrostats Calculations, Road Crossing Calculations, general specification of pipeline, Pipeline Materials for sour / non-sour services, Pipeline Design Basis, Input to Design Drawings, Input to FEED report & EPC SOW, Participating in Design Review and HAZOP Review Meetings, Input to Tie-in’s and Shutdown Philosophy, Operating and Control Philosophy, Cathodic Protection Design, and Inter-discipline coordination. Provide field development studies and operations technical support for urban planning, flow line networks, gathering and distribution manifolds, MSV locations, Bulk headers, pipeline routes, Rows, cleaning facilities etc. Development of engineering schemes for new onshore pipeline facilities, space and layout study, cost estimates for budget.
