3. Where did he grow up and live?
Rudyard Kipling was first born on Bombay, India and then moved to
England with his sister because of a illness spreading in India. In
England he lived in the home of a paid caretaker when he was six
through eleven years old.He returned to India when he was sixteen
and lived there for seven years. Then he moved to London in 1889 and
at 1892 he married an American and lived in the United States.
5. What influenced the poets writing?
Kipling’s son died in the War World 1 so the death of his
son influenced him. He got beaten up when he was
young by the caretaker’s son and so he had a difficulty
sleeping. So he shared his pain with his readers. Before
he was a poet he was a newspaper writer and that
influenced him to become a poet too.

Rudyard Kipling writes emotions for the audience that
were common to everyone. He also uses some rhymes
and line breaks in his poems. Kipling uses emphatic
sounds and repeat words so that the readers can
understand the word emotionally.

He was born in December 30th, 1865 and lived until
January 18th, 1936. He lived during the War World 1
and during when there was dangerous illnesses in India.

people that had common emotions. Kipling thought it
was his responsibility to show what he thought.

named Caroline and he had 3 children. His son
John (picture on the right) died in the war and
one of his daughters died from pneumonia. His
family had sicknesses and a lot of death, so he
had a sad family.
