• The added value of the health sector for the Brainport region is
6,5 billion euro, This is about 8,5 % of the total added value of
the economy.
• 18% of people of the region are employed in the health sector.
• Worldwide demand for products and services surrounding
health increase exponentially
• Without major intervention the cost of Dutch healthcare will
rise from €87,1 billion currently to € 254,9 billion in 2050.
