Disability Discrimination Awareness (DDA) delivers the training required by the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 for all staff in a
hospitality environment. This induction level elearning course covers the legislation of all three parts of the Act and the
amendments since 1st October 2004.
This training ensures that employees understand how to treat all customers and colleagues with the same degree of courtesy
and respect, regardless of disabilities. The key issues are conveyed through fully narrated, interactive content and
understanding is secured with a multiple-choice, post-module assessment.

DDA is a single module divided into the following seven topics:
• The Disability Discrimination Act 1995
• Types of disability
• Forms of discrimination
• Avoiding discrimination
• Roles in avoiding discrimination
• Reasonable adjustments
• Assisting disabled people
Duration: 30 – 45 minutes.
Requirements: No prior knowledge of disability discrimination
issues or IT skills required.
Delivery: Available for delivery on CD, via el-box™ or online on AIMS™
