Board Governance and
Nonprofit Best Practice Checklist
This tool was designed to help nonprofit organizations assess their organizational
capacity against a number of best practices recommended by the Center for
Nonprofit Resources (C4NPR.org – Toledo, OH).
Each organization will need to decide for itself what changes, if any, to make in its
governance and management policies and practices based on the self-assessment.
