With over 20 years of experience in education, Rabbi Michael Weichselbaum has served since 1999 as principal of Bnos Malka Academy in Queens, New York. Under his direction, a girls’ elementary school that formerly served grades pre-1A through 3rd grade has expanded to teach classes from kindergarten through 8th grade, with an accompanying growth in student population from 33 to 350 pupils. Striving to improve instruction and institute contemporary teaching methodologies, Rabbi Michael Weichselbaum has also implemented several effective teacher development programs, such as Understanding by Design and Formal Observations.
