• Original area mining was conducted from 1903 to 1965.
• Assessment of the pile estimated volume to be 11,500,000 tons
covering 94 acres.
• Cambria Reclamation Company purchased the pile in 1995
– Reclamation began in October 1996
Lucerne
• Original area mining was conducted from 1907 to 1967.
• Original assessment of the pile estimated volume to be 8,700,000
tons covering 125 acres.
• Cambria Reclamation Company purchased the pile in 1995
– Began to remove fuel in May 2012
– Approximately 700,000 tons per year
