Sarah Friis
Lead Designer
Sarah Friis is the co-founder and lead designer of
Workshops4Teams.com. Sarah has an MA (Hons) in
psychology and has spent her career both in consulting
and corporate roles in organisational and leadership
development.
Sarah is a professionally qualified facilitator with over
6000 hours of facilitation experience and 20
years' expertise in workshop design. Sarah is also a
qualified Human Synergistics Coach, Strengths Profile
Coach, Trained Teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion,
accredited Emotional Intelligence Coach (EQ-i) and
accredited Design Thinking facilitator.
Her passion for developing high-performance teams
and cultures led her to co-author The Power of Team –
a practical guidebook for breakthrough performance, a
highly-acclaimed resource manual for leaders wanting
to create great teams.
Bringing together her expertise in facilitation, team
leadership and group psychology ensures that each

Jo Cribb
Expert Contributor
David is a senior leader and professional director.
He has an extensive track record in strategy and
marketing and has worked with government
agencies, educational institutions and international
corporations.
He is currently Executive Director – Reputation and
Student Recruitment at Unitec Institute of
Technology and is a Chair and Director of a
number of technology companies. He was
previously CEO of state-owned enterprise Learning
Media and Managing Director of David Forman
Training.
David has a long-standing involvement in digital
technology, education and workforce planning. He
founded the Wellington EdTech Meetup
and the EdTech for Export conference, and is
a member of the Executive Council of the EdTech
Association.
He holds an MA from Cambridge University, and is
a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management and a
Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
David
Glover
Expert Contributor
Jo is an experienced consultant and director on a
number of Government and NGO boards. She is
regularly asked to facilitate strategy sessions with
leadership teams, coach emerging leaders and lead
substantial policy, strategy and gender projects.
In 2018 Jo co-authored with David Glover the book
'Don't Worry About the Robots: How to Survive and
Thrive in the New World of Work', which provides
an accessible synthesis of the trends in technology
that are impacting on work and practical tools for
future-proofing careers.
Jo was previously Chief Executive of the Ministry
for Women, Deputy Children's Commissioner and
leader of the Commissioner's Expert Advisory
Group on Solutions to Child Poverty. She is one of
the youngest chief executives ever appointed in
the New Zealand Public Service.
In 2016 she was a finalist in the New Zealand
Women of Influence Awards and in 2014 was one
of three recipients of a Westpac Leadership
Fellowship. Jo has a Doctorate in Public Policy.
7. Purpose & Objectives
Purpose:
The purpose of this workshop is to gain valuable insights into the future of work, a chance to explore some
practical and thought provoking exercises and take action individually and as a team to get future ready.
Ideally used for:
• Teams who potentially face significant disruption from technology in the coming years, teams who are
wanting to build their resilience and growth through change, and teams who have come through
significant change and are wanting to re-set
• Teams who want to proactively get ahead of disruption and get on top of the issues
Team Performance Objectives:
• The team learns how automation, artificial intelligence and digitisation are changing the world of work
and threatening many of our jobs
• The team learns how we can adapt to these changes and learn ways to thrive in this new world
• The team members uncover personal insights and gain awareness about themselves and useful tools for
setting bold goals and changing behaviour
• The team explores how to ensure it transforms and stays relevant and what changes it must make to
ensure this.

• As a primer prior to the workshop to get them engaged in the subject, send them a couple
