2. Facebook
This is the screen you see when you first open up Facebook.com
If you already have a facebook account enter your email and password and
click sign in at the top right of the screen.
3. News Feed
The newsfeed is
the first screen
you will see when
logging into
Facebook.com.
This is your own
personal viewing
page of what your
friends/acquaint
ances have
posted, liked or
shared on their
own page.
No one else can see this page but you.
4. The left
side bar is
your menu.
Here you
will find
the ability
to maintain
your
personal
activity on
your page,
any
business/o
rganization
pages you
are an
admin for,
groups you
participate
in and
categorized
friend lists.
5. Center of the
page is
where you
will find
your news
feed. This is
a collection
of postings
from your
friends,
pages,
groups and
ads that
Facebooks
algorithm
feels you
may be
interested in
reading.
No one else can see this page but you.
6. Items that
may appear on
your news
feed include:
friends statues
updates,
photos, shared
news articles,
company
updates that
you follow,
and ads.
You can scroll
through this to
see what
others are
posting at
anytime of the
day.

7. Your News Feed is where
you can like, share or
comment on others posts
to facebook.
Depending on the privacy
settings of the original
person who posted
determines if your actions
will show up on your
friends personal news feed.
However, the original
person who posted will be
able to get notifications of
your interaction with their
update. Along with anyone
else who has commented
on the update.
8. The left side of your
news feed provides you
with advertisements,
trending topics within
the media and a snap
shoot of any page you
are an admin for.
9. Navigation Bar
Your Navigation Bar is at the top of your Facebook page. This
stays stagnant on any page you navigate to within Facebook.
Here you is where you get notifications of events that have
happened on your page, things you are following, etc.
10. This is your
notification
reminder. When
someone likes,
comments, shares,
or posts something
to your personal
page or something
you are following
you will receive
notification here.
11. When you click on the
notification icon you will see
a list of activity that is partial
just to your posts and
activity on Facebook.
12. The next icon is the messages
icon. This is where you will
receive direct messages from
friends or other facebook
users.
13. The last icon is where you
will receive friend requests.
Here you can either add or
decline an invitation to
connect.
14. The home option will take
you back to your News
Feed page from any page
you have navigated too.
15. Your name will take
you to your own
personal page from
any page you have
navigated too.
16. The search bar allows you to search for
people, pages, and companies that have
profiles on Facebook.
17. Personal Wall/Page
This is the page in which your
friends and the public can see.
You can set your privacy settings
to allow everyone in the world to
see your activity all the way down
to just you.
Overall the average is to allow
friends to see your activity which
will be posted to their News Feed.
18. This is your personal walls
navigation bar. Each tab
allows for a visitor to see and
learn about who you are.
Depending on your security
settings it will dictate how
much someone can see and
know about you.
You do not have to fill
everything out.

21. News Feed is available for everyone to see
Your News Feed is customized for your own personal
viewing pleasure.
This means that if your friend posts a provocative photo on
their own page, it may show up on your news feed, but your
other friends or followers will never see it.
You can hide, delete, comment, share, and like on
anything that shows up on this page.
You can also scroll right past anything on this page
and simply ignore peoples activity.
22. Anyone can post on my personal page
Check your privacy settings!
If your privacy settings are set to only allow friends
to post on your page no one else will be able too.
If you have everything set to public then anyone who
views your page has access to posting on your
personal page.
23. News Feed Personal Page
No one else can see this
content unless they are
friends with the
original poster.
Easiest way to interact
with many different
people.
Your own space where
friends can interact
with your activity.
Can be made extremely
private or available for
the world to see
depending on the
privacy settings.
