Work Life Balance

Notas do Editor

  1. Every participant is asked to mention “1” against those which they agree to and “0” against those which they don’t agree. On completion they add up the scores and trainer helps them to figure out their current state in work and life balancing beam. 1-3/10  Reduced willingness to evaluate and meet every ones expectations. Surviving a stressful life. 4-6/10  Learned a lot from their own experience and willingness to meet every ones expectations. Feeling tired at end of the day. 7-10/10 Knows all the secrets to live a happy life that includes work place too.
  2. Share the thought with Audience: “Thousands of us are living lives of screaming desperation and need. We work hard long hours. Many of us hate the work we do. And we do this to earn money. Now, many of us land up buy things that we don’t need and eventually try impressing people we don’t like or even know!!” We are not being REAL and TRUE to ourselves.
  3. Give tasks to audience and ask them to place them in the grid after brainstorming: Daily Activity: Meeting Handling Customer Issues Reply to emails Reporting Breakfast Lunch Dinner Calling customers Calling manager for Leave request Documentation On-Job Training (OJT) Coordination with HR/IT Calling people on leave Joint Calls Customer Meet Arrangement Training Home Visit Appointment with Customer for Home visit Understand Financial Condition Understanding Requirement Quarterly Activity: -Quarterly Report -Quarterly Meeting -Joint Calls -Recruitment -Induction – Manager training Breakfast Lunch Dinner Calling customers Calling manager for Leave request
  4. Share the story of a Old lady and her Son and her grand daughter: Mike called up his daughter and asked her to join him to a resort as he planned for a lunch for them. He also mentioned that they would pick her grandma on the way. The daughter agrees and they move out for grandmas place. Once they reach, the grandma says “I am too busy. Sorry you two should carry on.” Mike and his daughter continues and they have lots of fun in the resort, try variety of food at lunch. On his way back home he drops the daughter at her friends place for group studies and before he reaches home he meets with an accident and does not survive it. Mike’s mom for the rest of her life kept grieving her decision of not joining her son to the trip he offered. She recalled this several times and got sad and lived with a broken heart. We don’t want to make instant decisions and then realize that they took a wrong turn unlike our expectation. So think on the impact it would throw before you decide.
