2. What is a WebQuest?
• According to teachersfirst.com, a
WebQuest is an assignment which
asks students to use the World Wide
Web to learn about and/or synthesize
their knowledge a specific topic.
3. Six Parts to a WebQuest
• Introduction- it provides background information
and makes desirable to the students
• Task- what the students should accomplish by the
end of the WebQuest
• Process- description of the steps, with links
embedded in each step
• Resources- what the students will need to
complete the task
• Evaluation- rubric
• Conclusion- allows for reflection by the students
• Teacher Page- for the teacher to give their
reflection
4. Terms of WebQuest
• Short-term WebQuest- the goal is
knowledge acquisition and integration
• Long-term WebQuest- the learners
analyze and transform knowledge into
something that is understandable by
others
• Link- an instruction that connects one
part of a program or an element to
another
• Audience- a gathering of spectators or
listeners at a performance
