On Sunday March 20th, the Otis
Spunkmeyer team attended the
Latin Food Fest for their family fun
day. Our team handed out over
1,500 samples. Everyone loved
the cakes and was excited about the

On Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 La
Brea Bakery held a successful event
at Johnathan Waxman’s restaurant
JAMS in New York City to launch
La Brea Bakery Reserve, the nation’s
first nationally available farm to
table artisan bread.

Nastassia, our Otis Spunkmeyer
blogger, was featured on CBS Los
Angeles Friday morning news,
sharing recipes and encouraging
viewers to attend LA Cookie Con,
which reached 56,000 viewers.
She was also interviewed at the
booth for KTLA reaching 784,000
viewers in the LA area.

This year we capitalized on the
excitement of the Super Bowl with

worked with 20 bloggers across the

WIN TICKETS TO THE BIG GAME!
Grilled Cheese Nights were hosted
at the La Brea Bakery Café in LA
on Thursday nights in April to
celebrate National Grilled Cheese
month. Attendance grew from 96
Grilled Cheese lovers on the first
night to over 200 on the 4th night!

2. La Brea Bakery had an on-air
segment with The Chew on ABC.
We were the clear star of the show
with a bread pudding featuring our
Italian Round. Additionally, they
promoted the Thanksgiving Heroes

On July 23rd, attendees of the Long
Beach Grand Cru were thrilled to

season of decorating Christmas trees,

over the fire place. The joyous feeling
of the holidays is one that most people
look forward to every year. Amidst all the
excitement and joy, one of the hardest
things to do while shopping if deciding
what to gift your friends and family.
Guide to Cooking for the Holidays
Food is the glue that binds: friends, family,
tradition, holidays… This time of year is
especially full of reasons to gather and break
bread. So it’s safe to say we all have a holi-
day dish or two that we look forward to each
year. If you’re looking for inspiration for your
next gathering, whether as a guest or as the
host(ess) with the most(ess), feast your eyes
on a handful of our favorites

INGREDIENTS
n 5 Otis Spunkmeyer Hot Chocolate Frosted Crème Cakes
n 2 tbsp. Chocolate Morsels
n 1 C. Mini Marshmallows
DIRECTIONS
n Take 5 Otis Spunkmeyer Hot Chocolate Frosted Crème Cakes and fit them
snuggly in a coffee mug. Depending on mug size, this could also be 3-4 cakes if a
smaller mug is used.
n Throw in a handful of chocolate morsels in the center of the frosted crème
cake-filled mug and microwave for a minute, or until they are warm and gently
melt down at the touch of a fork.
n Once warmed, push the crème cakes down a half an inch into the mug with a fork to
make room for marshmallows. Top with a generous handful of mini marshmallows
and, using a home crème brulee torch, carefully toast the marshmallows. You can also
toast the marshmallows under the broiler in your oven, just be careful when handling
the mug afterwards as it will be very hot!
n Grab a spoon and enjoy this fun take on a hot chocolate!

13. INGREDIENTSTIMINGINSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. In a non-reactive bowl whisk together olive
oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Add arugula and
lightly dress (removeextradressingifneeded).
3. Place 4 slices of bread on baking sheet.
Evenly distribute Brie on top of each of the
4 slices of bread.
4. Place in the oven for 3 minutes or until
Brie is just starting to melt. Remove.
To Assemble: Drizzle honey on top of cheese
and add trail mix. Top with arugula salad and
close with remaining piece of bread. Slice in
2 pieces and serve.
n Prep Time: 10 minutes n Total Time: 10 minutes
