We ask lots of questions, learn about your product, how customers use your product, and the objectives
of your packaging solution. We strive to define budget, timeline, and manufacturing method. The goal of
this phase is to gain a deep understanding of your goals, and the passion for your product so we can
weave it into the fabric of the solution.
You suggest ideas…we suggest ideas. We play on our collective knowledge and sketch out high level
design options. The tone of the final design is set here as we discuss overall functionality, colors, etc.
With a roadmap, we move to the drafting table – this is where the design and concept take shape.
Defining and answering open questions in this phase is critical to minimize expensive iterations in later
stages of the process. Ideas are refined and Design for Manufacturing is applied.
Your ideas and vision begin to come to life. We review our solution with you. Through 3D models and
renderings, you get a great sense of the look and feel of the final product. Ideally the initial vision has been
captured. However, elements can be revised to ensure goals are met and you are WOWed. Sometimes
there is one revision round, but rarely more.
Your production tools are built if required. Depending on the manufacturing process, this can take
between 1 week and 6 weeks for a complex injection molded tool.
Depending on the complexity of your project, it may make sense to test some of the features prior to
production. 3D printing, CNC technology, and our other technologies are leveraged during this phase. All
custom projects large and small don’t proceed into the manufacturing stage without an approved First
Article. This is usually the AHA moment where your product is tangible and truly comes to life. If ISTA or
environmental testing is required, it would be conducted at this time.
Cutting, molding, sewing, printing. Your case is assembled, inspected, packed and prepared for shipment
to you and your customers.
The world gets to see your new case. Want help with managing your inventory and Just In Time
shipments? No problem, we have you covered.
