food hygiene and health and safety, is a task for

for Princes Foods, and provided
a new white-walled enclosed
sloping walkway, to keep
staff safe from traffic areas.

Nestlé Purina Petcare (UK) Ltd
Essential building services support
Following the successful design and build of a
production facility extension and construction of new
production areas within an existing building, Chalcroft
have continued to provide Nestlé Purina with building
services support on a day to day basis.
Projects have included tarmac and flooring repairs,
roof light protection and provision of a man-safe
system around the factory roof, drainage, resin
flooring, white-walling, all scaffolding requirements,
steel work, external cladding and yard repairs.
Chalcroft have also been instrumental in larger
projects for the business, such as the removal of
the brickwork at the end of the factory building to
enable the installation of new retorts (cookers),
followed by replacement of the wall with
white-walling and cladding.
Pinguin Foods UK Ltd
Civil works and refurbishment
Pinguin Foods specialise in the processing
and packing of frozen fruit and vegetables. Chalcroft
Building Services has worked with Pinguin Foods on
various projects, including a new access roadway,
lift shaft maintenance, drainage works and toilet
refurbishment.
When Pinguin Foods wanted to install a new pea
line, they called on Chalcroft to provide the civil
improvements required, along with bases for
machines, CCTV, ducting and yard repairs.
Chalcroft’s expertise of working on live sites within a
high-care environment has enabled Pinguin Foods
to continue production throughout the duration of
the works.

Forestry Commission
Conversion of a redundant room into a laboratory
The Forestry Commission manage and protect
woodland and forests throughout England and
Scotland. This vital work includes research and
control of tree pests and diseases.
Chalcroft Building Services converted a redundant
room into a laboratory to analyse insects. The scope
of works involved insulating and plaster boarding the
walls, a new resin
floor with coved
up-stand, installation
of ash veneered
door and roller
shutter door.
Chalcroft have been meticulous
in producing the project on
time, to budget and to a high
standard. I have no hesitation in

Dilapidations, refurbishment and
on-going maintenance
Chalcroft Building Services have enjoyed a long-
standing relationship with leading logistics provider,
Norbert Dentressangle. Building services on multiple
sites have included dilapidations involving new roller
doors, cladding, block work and steel work repairs.
At the Long Marston depot, Chalcroft have carried
out general refurbishment work, including yard
resurfacing, new barriers and car park white-
lining, improvements to the offices, canteen and
toilets and new fire doors.
I have been the Site Manager at Long
Marston for the 10 years we have
been open. The site is situated in an
old Ministry of Defence Storage area.
Chalcroft have been my preferred civil
engineer in all this time as they have
undertaken groundwork, building repairs
and alterations completed to a very high
standard at very competitive rates. They
are fully committed to the Health & Safety
of their own team and adhere fully to the
site’s Health & Safety rules.

Probrand Limited
Fit out of warehouse to provide offices
Probrand is a major supplier of top branded
computer products, servicing a wide range of
business and public sector customers throughout the
UK. An expanding company recruiting an additional
60 people, the company converted the redundant
warehouse on the ground floor of their building to
provide further office accommodation.
Chalcroft Building Services were the principal
contractor, installing the partitions, flooring, ceilings,
kitchen, toilets and providing decoration. Outside the
building, Chalcroft carried out external repairs and
redecoration.
Heinz Frozen & Chilled Foods Ltd
Refurbishment of fire damaged building
When fire damaged a section of their ready-meals
factory at Worstead, Heinz called on Chalcroft
Building Services to repair and refurbish the
building. Having previously worked with Chalcroft
to build a new food production unit, Heinz
knew they could rely on Chalcroft to get their
production back up to capacity swiftly, without
affecting production elsewhere on site. The
refurbishment works included replacement of the
existing concrete floor, drains and resin works,
modernisation of the plant room, the provision of
food safe doors, roof repairs and water proofing.
