Ladies and gentleman, I would like to start this meeting
with a poem of Sa’ddi, the famous poet of Iran:
Human beings are members of a whole
In creation of one essence and soul
If one member is afflicted with pain
Other members uneasy will remain
If you have no sympathy for human pain
The name of human you cannot retain
We have a dream,
A great dream that we committed to, with all our soul, it
inspired us and we try to realize it, the dream that comes
from truth and is lasting and pure. The truth that gives
meaning to humanity, as the sun is luminous and
promising. It is eternal and will dominate the hearts.
Darkness and evil will bow before it. It is acceptable for
pure eyes and hearts, not infernal who inherited demons
and enjoy from the people torturing, from resonating
swords that unsheathed, from gun and cannon which
shaken the humanity during history and made it frail and
they come alive with the blood dripping from the clutches.
And what dream is bigger, more golden and more humane
than peace and tranquility, and realization of a world free
of violence for all human being.
This is our big dream, a dream that is truth itself, it is full
of hope and inspiring, it holds the sense of being human,
alive and strong. Our dream brings peace for everyone,
regardless of any discrimination.
We urge everyone to establish peace, justice, freedom for
all people around the world. Such a great truth will only
understand by noble and aware people who don’t sacrifice
it for any benefit.
I, Maryam Dorri, graduate student in international
relations, like to welcome, Tehran’s ambassador of the
United Nations, Mr. Lewis, honorable diplomat of
Rwanda, Mr. Juma and all distinguished participants in this
meeting. On behalf of great and pacifist nation of Iran,
thinkers and students who strive for growth and excellence
humanity by all their heart, especially students of
International Relations of Islamic Azad University of
Karaj, And as representative of Iranian association for
international relations, and professors who are present
here.
And bestow my colleagues and friends’ warmest greetings.
In the hope that no human rights trampled in the world.
And humanity will never again witness atrocities such as
genocide in Rwanda. All mankind should enjoy peace and
security fairly.
We are delighted to have you here to participate. We are
honored with the presence of great ambassador of the
United Nations. Mr. Lewis, and diplomat of Rwanda Mr.
Juma.
