The aim of this study is to find out
the perception of CSB students
about the last US election.
Specifically, it would try to find out if
majority of the Benildeans prefers a
president that is hardworking and
the least preferred trait of a
President for a Benildean student is
for him/her to be popular. 34% of
female Benildeans prefers a
President who would focus on
giving peace and order while 36%
male Benildeans says that serving
the nation is much important. Is
there a significant difference
between the level of optimism of
male and female Benildeans for the
last 2016 US Presidential elections?

Question:
As a student, do you believe that US
President Donald Trump deserves to be the
President of one of the most progressive
and powerful country in the world? Why or
why not? State your reason.

YEVGENIA KIRSTEN
DE GUZMAN
Answer:
Even though I’m not a supporter of his
candidacy, I think he deserves to be the
President. Most of the people voted for him,
which means they saw his potential and
passion for the country. Somehow I see
President Duterte of him. They both have the
same personalities and advocacies. United
States may be excited to experience a new
kind of leadership, nevertheless that
leadership may either cause them success
or failure.
Recommendation:
Since the research wanted to find
out the students’ preferences about
a President’s trait. The research
should have been focused on that
area. Not on what the President
should focus on.
Comments:
Conduct a survey according to
what a research needs.

ELLOHEM ORTIZ
Answer:
As a student, I think US
President Donald Trump
deserves to become a
president of the United
States. Most of the
Americans voted for him. And
it seems like he had a
potential to lead the state.
And maybe, he needs to work
more to improve his attitudes
towards treating people.
Recommendations:
As a student, I think we
need to focus on the US
President’s ability to lead
the state. And give him a
chance to improve himself.
We can never say what he
can do to improve the
economic state of the US on
his journey as a President.
Suggestions:
As a student, I think people
nowadays can really stand on
their own. They know what is
right and what is wrong. They
have a freedom to fight on
what they can believe. But still
give other people a chance to
improve themselves and don’t
judge them according to what
only eyes can see. And for the
US president, he needs to
change his attitudes.

Answer:
As a Filipino youth concerned with the
economic growth and development of a
nation. I think he still deserve his position to
be the President of the United States,
despite all the speculations being brought to
him. His win in the latest US elections might
be a proof of the trust of some Americans to
his leadership skills.

political experience and even having a
manner of rudeness. His attitude might
be reflected in the United States’
development for the coming years.
though , with all of these speculations,
he can change of all those rumors by
aiming what is better for his fellow

Since the research aims to know the
perspective of each person in regards of
what the President should possess of,
everything will only be focusing to the topic
targeting the youth and adults concerned
with their nation, and even why should
these traits given by the, will have a

topic with a target of youth and

As part of the youth, I can say that I still
have a fresh mind about what is going on
around us. My knowledge and skills are
not that yet sufficient to fill up my mind with
all of the issues arising with my
countrymen. But, noticing issues around
me made me realized that people
nowadays are too selfish to achieve
something, knowing the fact that what
they will be doing is wrong and
not just.

Answer:
In my opinion, I don’t see Trump as a great
leader. I do not think he is fit to be the
president for he is a racist, a sexist,
misogynist, and an narcissist. Throughout his
electoral campaigning, he has shown the
people from all around the world how little he
knows about how to act with respect and
morals, how to build allies and strengthen
the U.S. relationships with other foreign
countries. He only focuses on how to
strengthen his race but doesn’t bother to
fight for the American dream, in which all
U.S. Citizens will have
equal human rights.

Recommendations:
As a student, I would love to hear
from our fellow Benildeans what
their opinion is about Trump and
how can one president meet the
goals of his/her men.

Comments:
As a student, I believe that people
from all throughout the world, and
not just the U.S. will continue to
fight for their rights even if their
President is ignorant. I suggest
people will stand up for themselves
despite their race, ethnicity, social
class, and gender.

Answer:
President Donald Trump
does not deserve to be the
President of the United
States of America because
he has never been an
elected official and he
doesn’t have a military
experience. Also, because
of this he has lack of
knowledge necessary to be
a president.

He can't possibly have the
knowledge of becoming
president, and he definitely
doesn't know how important
the job of being a president
is. He is also a racist
because he wants Muslims,
Mexicans, and the black
Americans to be banned in
U.S. He called the Mexicans
as “killers, criminals, drug
dealers, and rapists”.

Recommendations:
Change the voting system
in the United States. Their
voting system is called
Electoral College. It is a
body of electors chosen
by the voters in each
state to elect the
president and vice
president of America.

For me, it is better to have
a direct voting like in the
Philippines. The Electoral
College is unfair in
several ways. It can allow
presidential election to be
decided by the House of
Representatives where
each States has one vote.

illegal immigrants who
are long staying in the
U.S. to have the papers
be legal.
• More jobs for people.
• Hoping for continuous
good US-Philippine

Answer:
As a student’s perspective, Trump
shouldn’t be the President of the United
States of America because he will make a
conflict between foreign people because
he discriminate people who isn’t white.
And also the LGBT community, who is
also discriminated by Trump.
He doesn’t have an experience
in Politics. Proper politics
must be applied.
